Classes

This is the class where it all begins. This class for beginners will be held for 4 consecutive weeks. You will learn the proper use of glass tools, glass selection, glass safety, pattern preparation & layout, glass cutting, copper foiling, soldering & framing your project. In this class you will complete an approx. 10 x 14 in. stained glass panel that is ready to hang. Fee includes a pattern & use of our tools. Glass and supplies are not included & may be purchased as needed. Our Glass cutting workshop is a good foundation for any class.

Day or Evening classes can be scheduled at your request for a minimum of 4 students. Fee $175.00 + supplies.

Lead Panel Construction

This class is designed to teach you the techniques of building a stained glass panel with lead came, including pattern preparation, cutting the lead came, fitting, soldering and glazing. We ask that you choose your pattern & glass in advance to save time on class day. Fee includes your pattern & use of our tools. Glass and supplies are not included & may be purchased as needed. We do not teach glass cutting in this class; advanced cutting skills are required for this class. If you need a refresher on cutting skills we suggest that you enroll in our glass cutting workshop. Fee $175.

FUSED GLASS LANTERNS

Register Now for this popular fusing class. No experience required. Fee includes all supplies, lantern & kiln firing. You create & assemble your lantern pieces, we will fuse it for you & you can pick it up within a few days. Fee: $95.00

Lead Panel Construction :

Intro to Lead Panel

This is a great class for those who want to get their “feet wet” in lead panel construction. This class will introduce you to lead panel construction by building "art strips”. These stained glass strips are simple, yet elegant and are perfect for hanging in casement windows, sidelights of entrance doors, walls or a wall centerpiece. No experience necessary. All supplies included.

Fee: $95.

Fused Glass Jellyfish Wind Chime

The best way to watch these fascinating sea creatures is through the glass walls of an aquarium. The next best way is to create your own “sea creature” at D & L Art Glass.

We are offering a glass fusing class where you can make your own Fused Glass Jellyfish wind chime. This class is a 1 or 2 day class; the choice is yours. The class is 2 ½- 3 hrs. to build your project & we will fuse it so it is ready to assemble the following week. You can arrange a time to complete your project or elect to have it assembled by the studio and ready for you to pick up. No experience is required for this class; beginners are welcome. All supplies and material are included.

Intermediate Stained Glass

This class is designed for those who have completed a beginners class and want to venture to a larger or more challenging project. This 4 wk. course is intended to improve your copper foil technique, and give you an opportunity to work on more complex pieces. You will work on the project you choose while having the convenience of using our studio, grinders and an available instructor for support. A beginners class is a prerequisite for this class. Tools & supplies are not included in the class fee. Class Fee: $100.00/ Tool Rental Fee: $20.00

Fused Glass Garden Flowers

Make a beautiful fused glass flower for your garden, vase or flower pot. Using powered fit and other embellishments you can make it your own unique creation. You have a choice of a 9" flower or 2 smaller 6" flowers. We will fuse & slump it for you to be picked up at a later date. Makes a great gift. No experience required. Fee is $55.00

Glass Fusing 101 for the Beginner

Have a kiln but don't know how to use it? Love the look of fused glass, but don't know how to achieve it? Join us for this comprehensive glass fusing class for the beginner. We will introduce you to the basics of kiln preparation and operation, fusing terms as well as the stages of glass fusing. You will create a fused glass project in this hands-class & prepare it for firing. We will fuse it for you & slump it into a mold for pick-up within a week. All supplies are included. Glass cutting experience is required. Our glass cutting workshop is a good foundation for any class we offer. Fee $95.00

Fused Dichroic Glass Pendants

Create several fused glass pendants in this 2 day class. You will learn to design with dichroic glass keeping in mind how you will etch the final product. Each class is 2-3hrs. Fee is $95. + $10 supply fee.
